Archived: Commission Approves Settlement of $190,000
(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – At its meeting today, the Board of County Commissioners approved a settlement of $190,000 related to an incident that occurred on Jan. 30, 2020, with former Sedgwick County inmate Chantry Moon regarding the use of force, U.S. District Court case number 21-1027-JWB.
The incident occurred at the Sedgwick County Courthouse during a transfer to a court proceeding.
Sedgwick County respects the legal process and has been working with the Plaintiff to reach an amicable settlement.
