WICHITA, Kan. — Rudy Howe, 68, of Viola, was sentenced today in Sedgwick County District Court following his April 2025 conviction on two counts of Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child.
Judge Jeffrey Goering sentenced Howe to life in prison on each count, to be served consecutively (back to back).
Howe was convicted following a jury trial in Case No. 2025CR1946. The charges stemmed from his illegal contact with two minors. The case was investigated by the Exploited and Missing Children’s Unit.
"This office is committed to holding those who prey on children accountable for the full measure of their actions," said Chief Assistant District Attorney Jason Roach. "Today's sentence reflects the gravity of Mr. Howe's conduct and the harm he caused to these two children and their families."
