- Vaccination records
- Health Insurance Card (if student is
covered by health insurance plan) - Immunization Letter from School Nurse (if you have one)
- Proof of household income
(for self-pay reduced fee eligibility)
How much does it cost?
- For uninsured children, vaccine fees range from $2 to $20 per vaccine based on household income.
- No student will be denied services because they cannot pay.
- Contracted with many regional health insurance plans, including KanCare. Contact your insurance company to confirm vaccine coverage and eligibility.
2026-2027 School Year Immunization Requirements
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has released the 2026-2027 School Year Required Immunizations for Kansas children.
Required vaccinations for Kansas children, include:
- DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- Meningococcal ACWY
- Polio
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) - Early Childhood Programs only)
- Pneumococcal conjugate (PCV) - Early childhood programs only
In addition to the required immunizations, the following vaccines are also recommended for school-aged children:
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV) at 9 years old or older.
- Annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccines for anyone age six months and older.
